Arise and Kill Your Goliath.
God wants 2019 to be your best year ever. However, I want you to realize that this is not up to God but you. God will not do for you what you should do yourself. Confronting and conquering your Goliath is a task you must brace up and do yourself. As a believer, you need to know that God is aware of the Goliath in your life. He knows all about the trouble and intimidation that Goliath is giving you. God has permitted the Goliath to be in your life because He knows He has deposited what you need to defeat him in your life. You only need to rise in faith and with courage to face and defeat your Goliath.
Just as the Goliath of Gath led the army of the Philistine to a battle against the children of Israel in the reign of king Saul and the king as well as all Israeli soldiers were intimidated by the size and stature of Goliath so much that they cringed in fear as he would boldly defy them and challenge them to a duel, many children of God today have a Goliath in their lives. That Goliath is harassing, molesting and making life very unbearable for them. The “Goliath” is the spirit husband who keeps molesting them sexually in the dream and keeps making getting a suitor and marital breakthrough an impossibility in the physical. For some others it is alcoholism and for some their Goliath is the drugs they are hooked to. The Goliath some people are contending with is abject poverty as well as indebtedness because of lack of understanding of Biblical Principle of Sowing and Reaping. Many of us what we need to do to be liberated from perpetual struggle is to honor God with our Tithes and Generous Offerings. Our adversary, the Devil who has three assignments: to steal, to kill and to destroy will not allow us to Obey God.
Yet for many others, their Goliath is health problem. I want you to note that just as the Goliath of Gath led the army of the Philistines, your Goliath is a strong man that has other demons (less powerful than he) with him. When Goliath of Gath fell and was beheaded, the other soldiers of the Philistine fled. Similarly, if you defeat your “Goliath”, other demons and associated problems will flee out of their close places in your life..
How can you kill the “Goliath” harassing your life and destiny? I would advise you to take a cue from David who never lost a battle throughout his lifetime. After Prophet Samuel anointed David, the Bible says that the Spirit of the Lord rested upon him from that day forward. The same Spirit of the Lord began to unfold interesting chapters of David’s life and was with him all the way, orchestrating the fulfillment of David’s destiny. So, to kill your “Goliath”, you first need to give your life to Christ and receive His Holy Spirit. Without Jesus you can do nothing. It was the Holy Spirit that enabled and empowered David to conquer Goliath. Second, you must have unwavering faith in God. The “Goliath” you want to kill is an enemy of God and uncircumcised. You must approach him in the name of the Lord as David did. Faith sees the size, might and strength of God; fear sees the size of Goliath. The Israeli soldiers saw Goliath’s size vis a vis their own and responded with fear. David saw the size and might of God and realized that Goliath was very small. His view and response was one of faith. In addition, David used a weapon he was accustomed with. He had used his slingshot on several occasions and it worked for him. In spiritual warfare, wise soldiers don’t manufacture weapons on the battlefield. You use the weapon you have mastered. That was what David did. Beloved, you are a soldier not a civilian. You must know and apply the right weapon to use to kill your own “Goliath”. The anointing and the glory of God upon your life will attracts “Goliath” (challenge), you must arise and kill your “Goliath”. Yes, you can!.
One Other Thing:
Seven months have come and gone. What is your financial support to the kingdom so far?
Remember, if a farmer fails to sow, when it is time of harvest when his colleagues are reaping, he will reap nothing. The same principle applies in the Kingdom. Some brethren are faithful in their tithes, seed sowing, and church development funds but some of us are spending our income on self-enjoyment/fulfillment. You sow no dollar to the kingdom, you reap no dollar. Galatians 5:7 says do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Be wise. If you want an end to struggle, not enough and debt, cultivate the Spirit of financial generosity towards the Kingdom. Your reward will surely come at the appointed time.
