Jesus Loves Me This I Know.
And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their commandment (I Chronicles 12:32).
The men of Issachar had a gift that is crucial to anyone who will fulfill his or her destiny. They had understanding of the times, they knew what Israel ought to do.
This ability to discern the time and to know what Israel ought to do is the secret behind doing the right thing at the right time, which is critical to your success in life.
This is a very crucial moment of your life and it is critical for you to understand this season of your life and to know exactly what you ought to do. It does not matter what happened in your life yesterday. By yesterday, I mean the day you were born right up to this moment. My friend, yesterday is gone and there is nothing you can do about it. Rather than sitting down, bemoaning what happened in your yesterday – what you ought to have done and what you ought not to have done – you should rise up and face the glorious tomorrow that God has set before you.
Yes, God has a glorious future ahead for you, no matter what happened in your yesterday. He said:
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end (Jeremiah 29:11). However, if that glorious tomorrow is going to be, it is up to you. You have to take 100% responsibility for your life and stop blaming anybody, anything, any government, any employer or employee or your pastor or your church or members of your group for what is happening to you. Until you take 100% responsibility, take charge of your life and begin to chart your course towards the glorious tomorrow God has for you, nothing will change. But the moment you take 100% responsibility and begin to take decisions based on your fellowship with God, things will begin to look bright.
This is what God says in His Word.
Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert (Isaiah 43:18-19).
God wants to begin to do a new thing in your life. Would you begin to discern it? Would you begin to take responsibility for it? Would you turn away from the man whom you have blamed for so long and begin to follow God’s direction for your life? Step out by faith into your better tomorrow, for now is your day of grace. Tomorrow may be too late.
One Other Thing
OBEY THE COMMANDMENTS OF GOD… the BEST WAY to Finish the race of Life Well & Strong.
When we are advised or a suggestion is made that we should do the RIGHT THING even though they may NOT BE RIGHT IN OUR EYES, or it is not agreeable with our native intelligence, either of these three things can happen:
1.We can IGNORE it like Eli (1 Samuel 2:12-36)
2. We can be ANGRY like Herod (Mark 6:17-20)
3. We can ACCEPT it, REPENT and CHANGE and COMPLY like David (2 Samuel 12)
The first two characters paid dearly for their actions while David triumphed over the race of life.
It is easier to listen to someone who tells us what we want to hear rather than those who tell us the truth that can help us to fulfill destiny.
Those people who deceive us by telling us what we love to hear (not the truth about the kingdom) will not help us to go far in life. If you doubt me, check the end stories of Pharaoh, Sampson, Herod, Eli, Nebuchadnezer, Gehazi and Judas Iscariot. They were warned and advised BUT Pride and TOO KNOW made them not to heed the warnings.
We all know that it is
1. Good to obey God. Do we do it?
2. Good to tithes, give generous offerings, give our first fruits and support the Kingdom with our time, talents and resources. Do we do it? My guess is as good as yours.
3. That it is Good to fellowship with one another and come early to church. Do we do it?
We still have four months to end this year. We can purpose to honor and obey God from now. Or we can continue to play religion that one day everything will be cool.
Obedience to the words of God is the only guarantee if we want to end the race of life well and strong. It will also enable us to recover all we have lost to the ENEMIES through error of commission or omissions. To a listener this day, as you purpose to obey and honor God, 7-fold restoration of all you have lost will take place in the next few days and all the good promises of Psalm 126 will begin to be your daily testimony.
Be expectant and it shall be so. See you at the next level.
