Managing Your Choices
Isaiah 1:19-20 says
19: If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:
20: But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.
Every day you can act in faith or fear. It is a personal daily decision. Faith leads to progress while fear retard progress. For example, some
of the decisions we make may not advance our progress in life according to the above Bible verse.
Whether we believe it or not, everyday, we make tens of decisions that can advance or retard our progress. The decision you made yesterday determines your today and the one you will make today will determine your tomorrow. When you receive any income, the Spirit of advancement will remind you to tithe but the Spirit of stagnation will tell you no way. The voice you listen to will depend on the level of your spiritual maturity because Satan is a taker, He will never ask you to give. It is a personal decision whether you want to make impact in this world or you want to die as an ordinary person.
As a Christian, you may decide to be available to serve and give generously towards the kingdom’s advancement. Or you may decide to be a number or a member, a spectator or a player. Or you may decide to be a joy breaker or impact maker concerning the issues of others. You may also decide to love unconditionally or you may decide to be jealous, bitter and encourage hatred even among your family members. Whatever you sow, it is what you will reap and the interesting thing: you reap more than what you sow. It’s a principle whether you’re a Christian or an unbeliever. That’s why wise people sow joy, peace, favor and heart of generosity towards the kingdom and other people.
Many of the choices we make in life are not between good and evil. The choices you make in life are between what’s good and what’s best. Everything is permissible, *but not everything is beneficial* So when making a decision, the question is: *Will this help me, or will this hinder me in pursuing my life purpose?*
For example, you could spend your entire day watching television. That might not be morally wrong, but it’s definitely a waste of time. When you waste your time, you’re wasting your life. Or you may decide not to support the work of God with your time or talent or resources but who will lose at the end? It is you when challenges become the order of the day and labor replaces favor in your life. An exam you should have passed in one sitting and you’re doing it three or four times without good success. The approval that should have taken you one month is now taking one year or more. That’s why I pity those members who do not support the kingdom’s assignment with their resources because with or without you or my support, the work of God will continue. My daily prayer for our members especially the faithful ones is that God will not replace or abandon them. It’s a dangerous thing for God to replace or abandon a person. If in doubt, read the story of King Saul or Judas Iscariot.
Until you figure out why God put you here on earth, you really have no basis by which to make decisions. Until you know your purpose, all the other decisions have no context by which you can determine, *This helps me move toward my goal in life. This helps me become what God wants me to be—and this doesn’t.*
Discernment is a key to success in life because you don’t have time for everything. The better you become at prioritizing what matters most, the more effective you’re going to be.
You don’t have time to do everything in life. The good news is, God doesn’t expect you to do everything. The even better news is, there are only a few things worth doing. To really make an impact with your life, figure out what’s important and what’s not, what’s essential and what’s trivial, and then make a decision based on what’s the best use of your life. Unfortunately, many Christians waste valuable time on trivial issues, something that will add no value to their lives and destiny so that people can like or approve them. May you receive wisdom to invest your time, talents and dollars wisely so that moving in cycles will not continue to be the order of the day in your life and family in Jesus precious name
*Three Other Things*

*Season Of Divine Favor*
*Isaiah 49:8*
2. Food For Thought*
*Put the Cup Down: the negative or rigid mindset*
In Acts 3, a man who had been crippled since birth was begging for money every day at the temple gate. Occasionally someone would place a few coins into his outstretched cup. He was stuck in a negative mind-set because of his circumstances, not expecting anything to change, until Peter stopped and spoke positivity to his life. Peter was saying, *Put down your cup because what God is about to do will not fit in that cup*. No one had ever spoken faith over him, telling him that he could walk. Then Peter pulled him up, and instantly he was healed.
Notice that this man had to put down his cup before he could receive his miracle. His mind-set was hoping for a few coins, but God had healing for his legs that meant he’d never have to use that cup again. Do you see how God wants to show you His immeasurable favor? God is saying, *Get rid of your cup. Have a new mind-set. Start believing bigger. The blessings I have for you cannot be contained in a cup* Until the man accepted positive mindset, he couldn’t reach his goal in life. To some of us, we need a positive mindset if we want to partake in the blessings ahead.
3. Prophetic Utterances
1 Corinthians 15:10 says *But whatever I am now, it is all because God poured out his special favor on me—and not without results. For I have worked harder than any of the other apostles; yet it was not I but God who was working through me by his grace.*
